By doing this you can achieve 8 Band in IELTS writing exam

Every student wants to get 8in IELTS writing as this is the most difficult module and if you get 8 or more in it than definitely your level of English is too good. If you want to prove yourself a master of the language you can do it by doing this you can achieve 8 in the IELTS writing exam.

In this exam the writing is evaluated on the basis of 4 criteria that are lexical resource, grammatical range and accuracy, coherence and cohesion, task response

– You will get the score out of 9 for each of these criteria and average of these 4 will be your final score in writing

If you are unable to get at least 8.0 in any of those criteria then it become really hard to get final 8.0 in writing. So work hard to get 8.0 in each criteria. In case you might face difficulty in one particular criteria then you probably need to increase your score in other criteria.

The question is that how you can improve your score?

For that concern think about these things:

– The first and foremost thing is you need a writing expert who can evaluate your mistakes and with his mentorship you can work on your mistakes

– Second thing is try to make a check list of your mistakes that you often do.

– try to concentrate on common bits of grammar like “countable” and “uncountable” because you can use these in every sentence.

– make your proper understanding about grammar rules it’s not just about the verb tenses it also includes the word order.  Try to get knowledge about that as well.

– you need to do a proof reading once you complete your writing test this would really help you to correct the unintentional mistakes.

CORRECT WAY OF WRITING

Being a teacher I observed that most of students have a good hand in grammar but got the writing process wrong. They do not try to organize their ideas. They write then stop and think about another idea then start writing again. Because of that there is no linking between their sentences it’s just two halves that do not even match. Just try to draft your ideas before start writing.

BASICS FOR WRITING CLEAR ENGLISH

– Try to avoid too long sentence that includes more than 20 words, unless your writing is very simple

– always keep in mind the basic S-V-O structure of English and pay attention towards the word order as well. Most of the time students make mistake in more complex sentences when subject gets separated from the verb.

– try to use abstract nouns instead of verb where it is possible.

– Carefully use the relative clauses and other complex structure (one relative is just enough for each sentences)

– to avoid the mistakes just formulate the full sentence in your head first before writing it. If you are unable to do this then there may be chances that the sentence you want to write is not complex but complicated which is not a good thing.

AVOID COMPLICATED IDEAS AND WRITING TOO MUCH

– Sometime students try to please the examiner by writing too many ideas but there are no marks in IELTS for quality of ideas .you just need to give the relevant ideas.

PROBLEM- You might face the problem in time management as you have only 40 min to write the task 2 in second languages

– POINT TO CONSIDER

Try to write less and more relevant information in this way you make less mistakes as well as can get more time to check your work

– always keep in mind that it’s a language test

Thank you 🙂
