Your family is going to move to another town. Write a letter to the Principal of a local school asking if they will accept your son.
Describe his academic achievements and scope of interests.
SAMPLE ANSWER
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing this letter to seek your kind permission for the admission of my son in your school in grade eight. And the reason for asking this is that my whole family, including my son, will be moving into your town next June.
So, naturally, my son will not be able to continue in his old school. By the way, I have already learned a great deal about your school as to how it always sticks to its policies of maintaining a very high educational standard, and how it gets involved with the community members and parents so that they (community members and parents) can always keep an eye on their children.
And as for my son, he is a top-class student with a very keen mind for learning. Last year he scored 95% in his grade six final exams. Over the years, he has been an active member of a debate club in his school. On top of that, he also used to be a regular member of his school’s football team.
So, based on my son’s credentials above, I would like to request you to grant my son an admission into your school.
