6 Do’s on IELTS Exam Day

Full form of IELTS is International English Language Testing System, exam which is conducted in almost every country of the world. This test is conducted to check the candidate’s level of English language who wants to get a study or work visas. IELTS test is accepted around the world so lots of candidates appear in this test to make their future bright by studying or working abroad. Students do lots of hard work to crack the exam and if on the exam day they should know about the things that they should do to avoid any problem.  So, today we are here with the 6 Do’s on IELTS Exam Day that will help you.

1– At the time or registration detail of an ID proof is demanded without which you cannot register for the exam. It is mandatory to carry that ID proof (Passport) with you to the examination center on the test day. You should show you identity proof to the authorities when and where demanded. Which means you should not forget to carry you proof or your entry will be restricted to the exam hall. There are some other items that you should have at the test center to know more click here.

2- Another thing is to on your admit card the time and venue of the test is clearly mentioned read it carefully and check it how far is it from your location to avoid being late. Many IELTS test takers get confused while searching their allotted test center and in confusion they reach any wrong destination. To tackle this problem I personally suggest you to visit the test venue one day prior then the test date. This will help you to get familiar with the path and the atmosphere you are going to get on the exam day. Repeat this practice of visiting the exam hall for the speaking test also as the exam hall is different on the speaking day.

3- If you want to score good bands in IELTS you need to be focused specially on the exam day. Keep your mind away from distractions and don’t do any type of commitment with anyone for the day of exam. You need to be focused on the exam only there should be no other work r meeting processing in your mind. So don’t fix any appointments with your clients or get-together with friends or colleagues.

4- Rather than focusing there is one another factor that helps you to get good scores and that is your positive attitude. Be positive for the exam don’t think that what will happen or will I be able to do the exam properly, I think that I will be hard for me just avoid these negative thoughts. Just bring positive thoughts like I can easily achieve my scores, I can do it nothing to worry about. Study reveals that the candidates who have positive attitude always get more scores than the students with negative thoughts.

5- Be in time if you have visited the venue before and you have the estimated journey time it doesn’t means that you start exactly according to that time. You should reach the center at least half an hour before the reporting time so that you can make yourself familiar with the environment in the hall. Moreover, some unavoidable situations like traffic jams can also be a hurdle in your way to the center so it’s always a good idea to start early.

6- Before the test start if you have an urge for using restroom just go for it don’t think that you will manage it or go during the exam. In IELTS test you will not be allowed to use restroom and if you get permission than it will kill a plenty of your valuable time as you will not be compensated with extra time.

Thank You 🙂
