IELTS, The International English Language Testing System, is the test designed to assess the language abilities of a person. As said earlier, the IELTS test comprises of two modules. The second module, that is, the IELTS general training test is one of the two variants. It is taken for the purpose of emigration. If you are planning to migrate to an English speaking country, then you need to take the IELTS test and in that, you should choose the general training module. Also, if you have a plan to work abroad in English speaking countries, then taking the IELTS general training test is mandatory.
What is the score required for immigration?
For countries like Canada, there is an official IELTS score requirement that is decided by the government, which is 8,7,7,7 in the listening, reading, writing and the speaking tests respectively. What is the aim of the IELTS general training test?
As an immigrant, when you land in a foreign country, you have to speak, listen, read and write in English, which is the language which is spoken by the natives of that country. This is what is tested in the IELTS test. You can know whether you are meeting the set standard requirements or not, and if the case is that your score is less, it means that you need to improve your language skills and then take the IELTS test again to achieve a better score.
