The pie charts reveal EU exports of goods to India and China in two years, 2000 and 2011.

Overall, Germany is the country which exported goods the most in India and China, except in 2000, when the UK predominated. Besides, while the exports of the UK to India and China decreased significantly, the exports of Germany increased fast in both countries in 200 and 2011.

The UK exported more to India over this period but the different was far greater in 2000. Then, the UK was the biggest EU exporter to India with a 29% share of the market. By 2011, that share had fallen to 13%. Germany had become the biggest EU exporter to India with a 25% share.

Germany also exported far more to China over the period with its share of the exports to China rising from 38% to 48%. By 2011, Germany was the biggest EU exporter to both China and India.

For other countries, the market was stable. Italy exported more or less the same amount to both countries in the period shown. Belgium, exported approximately five times the amount to India than to China, but its share of the market changed very little.
