SAMPLE ANSWER:-

The table depicts the statistical data about the spending patterns of an average Canadian family on different items. The years under consideration are 1995 and 2005.

It can be seen from the chart that in 1995, the family spent $1195 per quarter in total. Out of this, they spent highest on other goods and services that accounted for $450 quarterly. It was followed by food with $355 dollars and housing with $125. Next, the expenditure on electricity and water, transport and clothing fell in descending order.

After a decade, the total expenditure rose to $1255 per quarter. The money spent on clothing and transport only decreased, while on rest rose. The highest figure was still of other goods and services with $470 and the expenditure on electricity and water skyrocketed to $190 reaching at the third spot in the list.

Overall, it is lucid that total expenditure of an average Canadian family increased and maximum money was spent on other goods and services and minimum on clothing in both the years.
