The diagram below shows the process of maple syrup production. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The diagram presents the steps for making syrup from the sap of the maple tree. It takes several steps to go from the sap in a tree to syrup we can eat at home or use for making other products.
The process begins when nighttime temperatures are below freezing and daytime temperatures are above freezing. This is when the sap flows. A tap is put into a tree, and a tube is connected to it. The sap moves through the tube to a storage tank.
From there, it goes to an evaporator where it is boiled until it becomes syrup. It takes 40 gallons of sap to make one gallon of syrup. The syrup is packaged in bottles and cans. Some of it is shipped to stores. People buy it and enjoy eating at home. Some of the syrup is used to make candy or as an ingredient in cakes and other foods.
