The line graph represents the consumption of three different types of oil per person per year.
Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
SAMPLE ANSWER
The line graph depicts the consumption of cottonseed oil, groundnut oil and corn oil for the years from 1991 to 1995.
As is shown in the graph, in 1991, consumption of corn oil was at the peak at 5 liters which declined drastically to 2 litres in 1992 but rose to 3 liters in 1993 and then finally went down and became stagnant at 2 litres after 1994. In contrast to this, the consumption of cottonseed oil which was at 2
Litres in 1991 climbed dramatically to 4 litres in 1992, however, it reduced by 1 litres in 1993, afterwards, it started increasing gradually till 1995 to 6 litres and reached a peak level.
The figures for consumption of groundnut oil showed an inclining trend from 3 litres in the first year then progressively rose to 5 litres in 1993 which was same as the consumption of cottonseed oil in 1994. However, it fell down continuously till 1995 to 3 litres again as it was in 1991.
Overall, the consumption of corn oil was at the peak in the beginning but at the lowest level in the last year. However, cottonseed oil showed an opposite trend as compared to corn oil.
