SAMPLE ANSWER

When farming seabream it takes approximately 16 months to develop adult fish ready for market. The breeding fish should be between the ages of two and six years and be fed a diet of fish meal. When the time comes for them to reproduce, place two to three-year-old females and four to six-year-old males into the same tank.

Then when the eggs have been laid and fertilized they need to be removed and placed into tanks that contain 10,000 litres of water for every 6,000 eggs. This will give them space to grow when they develop into fish. At first, the baby fish will develop as yolk sac fry and after 7-10 days they will transform into larva. From this point they should be fed fish meal and small dried insects to pre-fatten them.

After around 50 days, they become juvenile fish and weigh about five grams. Now they need to be placed into larger tanks for 8-10 months until they have grown big and strong enough to be put out to sea in cages. In the tank and cage stages they are intensively fattened with abundant fish meal. After six months in the cages they will be 16 months old and weigh between 350 and 400 grams. Then they are ready to be caught and sold at the fish market.
