You recently attended a meeting at a hotel. When you returned home, you found you had left some important papers at the hotel. Write a letter to the manager of the hotel. In your letter:
– say where you think you left the papers.
– explain why they are so important.
– tell the manager what you want him/her to do.
SAMPLE ANSWER
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing this letter to inform you that I have left a portfolio of some important papers in your hotel. I stayed in Room No.406 of your hotel. Those papers are really important for me and I hope that you will assist me to get them back.
Let me give you more details about them. As I knew the papers are important, I had kept them cautiously in the bedroom safety vault. I had a morning flight but unfortunately I overslept. As I was in a hurry to leave I forgot to retrieve the file from the vault. Those papers are extremely confidential in nature and it is imperative for me to get hold of them as soon as possible.
I will be visiting the premises of hotel this afternoon. Would it be possible for you to hand over these documents at that point of time? My contact number is 41234 56779, in case you need to call me.
