SAMPLE ANSWER
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing to express my concern about the construction plan of an airport in the outskirt of ‘Garuda Town’.
Although I had heard from some local residents about this plan, many people said it is a rumour and should not be trusted. For my confirmation, I have paid a visit to the head office of local infrastructure and I learned that this is true news. Additionally, I have noticed the construction layout and its impacted areas.
I would like to bring your attention to the disadvantages of this plan. Firstly, in the immediate vicinity, there are hospital and school which required to be in a silent and quiet zone so that people could receive great benefits from it.
If the airport is constructed here, these services will affect greatly in its quality owing to noise pollution it will create. Another issue is based on the potential layout, a large park and playground area would demolish, where many children and older people employ it for their entertainment and recreational activities. This is a really worrying issue for them because of no other such places available.
Alternatively, it would be great if rather than building a new airport, the old airport could be expanded because it already has a huge unused area in its proximity. This would not only beneficial for the local public but also for the passengers because they do not have to travel back to another airport if they required to either transfer or change the flight.
I hope the authority will consider the highlighted concerns and a substitution plan.
