Your friend is taking an exam and had asked you to help him/her with studying because he/she knows that you usually do well.
Write a letter to your friend
In your letter
– tell him/her how you study
– give him/her some advice about the week before the exam
– explain what to do on the day
SAMPLE ANSWER:-
Dear Helen,
Yes, taking exams is always nerve wracking and stressful so to make it easier I have a certain method of studying and find this works exceptionally well.
I never leave all my studying for the last minute because I know from experience that this is a mistake. Spread your work over a period of at least six weeks before the exam. Be methodical and study a different section each day. It’s always a good idea to write down points that you find most difficult to remember. In this way, you can concentrate on this particular aspect, which will become less problematic and will help your memory.
This is especially helpful during the week before your exam date, which is the time when you want to panic. Go to bed early so as to be fresh again the next morning and on the night before the exam my advice would be not to study at all. Just relax, even going out for a fun evening with friends, which is very therapeutic and clears the brain leaving behind all the information you need to get a satisfactory result.
