You have trouble paying rent for the house where you live. Write a letter to your landlord
– explain your current financial situation
– ask for a house change.
SAMPLE ANSWER
Dear Mr. Tokio,
I am Tarika Toki, your new tenant from apartment number 341, Harrison Street. I moved in with my family six months ago. I am writing this letter to request you to change my apartment to a smaller one as I have suffered a setback in business and so cannot pay the rent of this apartment.
I am running a readymade garment store in the city centre. As you well know that many malls have opened in the outskirts of the city and there are many readymade garment stores in those malls. I have lost many of my regular customers and so my earning has come down drastically. So, I am finding it difficult to pay the rent of my current flat.
Sir, it is my humble request to change my three bedroom apartment to a two bedroom one. I know you have two bedroom apartments also to rent out and that would be easier on my pocket.
