You are looking for an apartment to rent in a certain neighborhood. Write a letter to a friend who lives in that neighborhood. In your letter
• explain why you want to live in that neighborhood.
• describe the type of apartment you are looking for.
• ask your friend to help you find an apartment.
SAMPLE ANSWER
Dear GH,
I want to tell you about a change I am making in my life. I really like your neighborhood and have decided to look for a small apartment to rent there. I hope you can help me with my search.
I have always loved your neighborhood because it is so conveniently located. There are stores and movie theaters nearby, and the neighborhood park is a really nice place to take walks. Most of all, it is close to my job, so I would be able to ride my bike to work.
I would like to find a small one-bedroom apartment. I would prefer to live in a small building where the rents are not too high. If I could live close to the park, that would be great , but it’s not a requirement.
I hope you can help me find something. Please let me know if you hear of any available apartments. Also, maybe you could suggest some nice buildings where I could look for vacancies.
