Your friend got a new job. Write a letter to him/her and say
– Why haven’t you contacted him/her recently?
– Ask him/her some details about the new job.
– Suggest when and where you’d like to meet him/her.
SAMPLE ANSWER
Dear J,
I hope this letter finds you in radiant health and the best of spirits. I was on a business tour to Japan and that is why I was out of touch with you for such a long time. I heard some great news about your new job as a web developer in Bayer International. I am writing this letter to congratulate you and wish you all the best in life.
I am interested to know about your job profile, such as your duty hours and whether you would be allowed telecommuting as yours is an internet based job. My cousin works with Bayer International in their research department and I would introduce you to him when I get the chance.
Next week, I have a business meeting in your town and I would love to see you then. I would be staying in a hotel arranged by my company and once it is finalized, I’ll let you know. Then we can arrange our meeting.
