Last weekend, your cousin celebrated her 50th birthday, but you couldn’t attend and you forgot to cancel. Write a letter to your cousin. In your letter:
– Apologize for missing the birthday celebration
– Explain why you missed it and why you hadn’t let her know
– Describe how you will make it up to her

Dear Jerry,
I wish you a happy belated 50th birthday dear and you could grow older and stay safe!!!!! I am extremely sorry for remaining absent at your birthday celebration party in the last week and even I forgot to tell you about my busy work schedule that I couldn’t able to either cancel or postpone it. Please forgive me dear as I feel sad deeply for missing it.
I highly apologize for not showing up at your birthday party and I feel sorry about it because, I literally swamped up with several crucial projects and their deliverables this month and my colleagues and I had visited other locations for client meetings to negotiate the contracts. Moreover, I have other meetings planned for next 3 weeks to convey the work progress to senior management and to fulfil the deadlines of outstanding requirements. Bottom line is, I was busy and occupied & couldn’t realize that your birthday is due this month.
However, I have a confession to make as I have booked the Leroy’s Concert tickets for us in the next month and the show will commence at 6:00 in the evening, followed by dinner party at your favourite hotel Holiday’s INN at 9:00. I am fully aware how much you do like attending and recoding concerts and I hope you don’t mind at all joining and doing me a favour. It will be a great honour for me to serve you.
