You ride a bicycle to work, but there is a problem with the parking. Write a letter to the manager of the Parking Management Company.
In your letter, you should:
– why you ride a bicycle to work
– what the problem is with the parking
– what your suggestions are.
SAMPLE ANSWER
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am Shirley and I am writing to ask for a parking spot in our office premises.
I have been working here as a postdoctoral fellow for two years. One week ago, I moved out of the staff dormitory on campus since new staff are eligible only for a two-year accommodation in the university. Currently I am living in a place that is about 2 kilometres away from the campus. Given this distance, riding a bike is the optimal option. I noticed earlier in the handbook of staff that all university staff must apply for parking slots from you to park their bikes or automobiles.
Therefore, it would be much appreciated if you kindly advise when and how I could be allocated a parking slot. I look forward to your reply.
