Dear sir or Madam,
My name is Chan Tai Man and I am writing to apply for the position of part-time tourist guide advertised on 20th December on Facebook.
I am studying at The University of Hong Kong and majoring in Tourism. In order to prepare for my final year project which is about the current development of Hong Kong Tourism as well as gain more working experience before I graduate, I would like to gain some experience in being a local part-time tourist guide.
I consider myself a suitable candidate because I have experience of leading tourist groups. For the past 3 years, I have volunteered as a local tour guide in some non-governmental organizations and led different groups of elderly to visit different tourist spots in Hong Kong I know well about the attractions in Hong Kong. Therefore, I think I am capable of leading some local day tours for your company.
As I am a full-time student, I would only be free on weekends. Therefore, I could be responsible for leading the weekend local tours.
