you have just spent a week with a friend on holiday, and when you got home, you realized that you have left your wallet in your friend’s house.
Write a letter to your friend;
– thanking for the holiday
– explaining that you left your wallet at their place
– providing instructions on how to send it back
SAMPLE ANSWER
Dear Tom,
I hope this letter finds you well. Actually, I am writing a letter to inform you that I left my wallet at your house.
First of all, I had a great time spent with you on our vacation. I am very grateful to you for arranging such a warm hospitality arrangement. I really enjoyed it a lot and did not realize, how time flew.
Unfortunately, while leaving for the railway station, I was in hurry and could not realise that I left my wallet on the TV cabinet in the drawing room. Luckily, I was having some cash in my office bag, therefore, I could manage my journey.
Nevertheless, I would request you to hand over the wallet to my cousin who lives in Forest Park. He is planning to travel this week to my place. So, I can collect from him. My cousin’s details address and contract number are mentioned on the back side of the letter.
