Write a letter to the council in your town suggesting ways to make the town more accessible
SAMPLE ANSWER
Dear Sir/Madam
I am writing in connection with the need of improvement of disabled access in our town.
I would want to make suggestions that will help to solve this problem.
Firstly, there are not enough facilities for the disabled on public transport. For instance, I suggest that we should add wheel chair access to both stations and vehicles. By doing this, people with mobility issues will feel more comfortably while traveling.
Secondly, a lot of the buildings in the city are not accessible for all people. For example, there will be an improvement if we install ramps and lifts. Moreover, there should be toilets for the disabled. As a result people with disabilities will feel equal to the others and they will not have difficulties while using public places. Lastly it would be a good idea to create a special disability forum. In order words people will be able to find a lot of useful information there. The more everyone asks and answers the more facts it will have. This way people will be well informed about disabled access throughout our city.
I feel that if we improve facilities on public transport, increase access to public building and set up a forum to regularly discuss issues, people will be finally able to enjoy everything in our town.
