Dear Sir/Madam,
A very good day to you all. I’m writing this letter to your esteemed counsel as a complaint of the waste collection system that is being applied in our neighborhood. The approach that the municipality is adopting is not functioning the way it should.
First and foremost, the timing of the collection is not suitable at all. The workers arrive at around 2:00 PM which is too late for the morning garbage and a bit early for the after lunch one. By that time the rubbish that had been taken out after breakfast would have spent more than 7 hours out in the open. Although the waste bins provided by the city are large enough, they lack an essential feature, lids.
Thus, the rubbish is exposed to the elements for a time long enough to emit awful orders and attract all sorts of insects let alone a stray dogs and cats which are a threat in their own to our kids and the health of the community.
Furthermore, our neighborhood is well known for the beauty of the front yards of its villas come one feature that has been spoiled by the ugly, dirty and coverless garbage containers.
Because we know that the City Council cares as much as we , here are some suggestions to bring back the elegance and the sanitation of our small community to how it used to be. First, the containers should be replaced with new colorful ones. 2nd the containers must be fitted with built in covers. 3rd garbage collection visits have to be more frequent; at least three times a day . Last the visits must be timed well; once after breakfast, another after lunch and a third after dinner or before midnight.
