You recently spent a night in a hotel and had to put up with a great deal of noise very early in the morning because of a faulty central heating system. The manager promised to contact you regarding compensation but you still haven’t heard from him.
Write a letter to the hotel. In the letter
– describe the problem at the hotel
– explain what the manager had said at the time
– say what you want the manager to do.
SAMPLE ANSWER
Hello sir ,
I am writing this letter to express my dissatisfaction with your hotel services especially with the central heating system which was not working properly. Basically, I booked your hotel on 24th June as I was having an urgent international assignment on the zoom app in the morning ,the reason for which I booked your hotel but due to noise from the heating ,system I was not able to represent my presentation properly and was not able to lock the deal which I was expecting.
Let me explain the situation to you , at that time I talked to the manager of the hotel and he assured me that I will be refunded my tariff but I haven’t got any confirmation till now .Moreover,disturbance due to the negligence of the hotel staff caused hindrance in my professional work.
Lastly, I want that designated payment should be made to my account as early as possible or I will have to take legal action against your firm.I want that central heating system of the room in which I stayed should be replaced so that others customers don’t face the same problem like me and your staff should be vigilant in checking all the equipment in the room before allotting to any other customer.
