You and your family are planning to spend a weekend at a seaside hotel. Write a letter to the hotel making the arrangements. Let them know
• when you will be arriving and leaving,
• what type of rooms you would like
• and ask them how much the weekend will cost
• also enquire about activities and places of interest near the hotel.
SAMPLE ANSWER
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing this letter to make arrangements with your hotel regarding the stay during the weekend and to know about the places of interest and leisure activities nearby.
I will be arriving there with my husband and two children to celebrate my 10th wedding anniversary on 10th July, Friday, morning at 10.00am and will be leaving on 16th July, evenings.
I would like you to book two deluxe rooms’ inclusive of all meals and at least one of the room should have the seaside view. In addition, the room should have the coffee maker and an iron.
I would appreciate if you will send the details of all the activities that we can take part in during our stay for fun and adventure. Further, I would love to get the information about the historical places and local market nearby the hotel so that we can explore the culture and the regional food. Moreover, send me the details of the total cost during the weekend stay no later than the 7th of July.
