IELTS Speaking Interview

Do you like to travel by can?

Yes, I like to travel by car. I find it very convenient and time-saving compared to taking the bus. I have a scooter too but prefer taking the car, especially during the hot summer days.

When do you travel by car?

I like to travel by car when I am going to places in my town or nearby cities (23 hours). For long journeys, I prefer the train to the car. The roads in many areas of my country are not in good condition, so car trips for long journeys are not safe and uncomfortable.

Where is the farthest place you have traveled by car?

The farthest place I have been to by car is Jaipur, Rajasthan. It was a very last-minute trip as my grandfather got very sick and we couldn’t find any train tickets. So my father and I took tutus driving the car and reached there in about 12 hours.

Do you like to sit in the back or front when travelling by car?

I like to sit in the front row either driving the car or in the passenger seat. The front seat has a better view, and I like to keep a watch on traffic even when I am not driving. I feel in control when I am in the front.

Do you use a wallet?

Yes, I use a wallet every day to carry my credit cards, cash, and any important receipts or documents. Carrying loose cash and cards in the pocket or directly in a bag is rot safe. A wallet also helps protect our valuables from getting wet in case it rains.

Have you ever lost a wallet?

Yes, one time, I lost my wallet on the bus. I was going to college and paid for my bus ticket. When I got off the bus, I realized I didn’t have my wallet. So I tried to chase after the bus but was not able to catch up.

Have you ever sent a wallet to someone as a gift?

Yes, I gifted my father a wallet on his 40th birthday. I have seen using the same wallet for years. It was very old, and the stitching was coming apart. I knew he would never buy it for himself unless it was completely unusable. He was very happy when he saw my gift and still uses that wallet.

SAMPLE ANSWER

Last summer, I had the pleasure of attending my cousin’s wedding, an event that was as much a culinary delight as it was a celebration of love. Nestled in a picturesque country estate, the setting was as enchanting as the array of dishes that graced our tables.

The food, a fusion of traditional Italian and modern international cuisine, was nothing short of a gastronomic journey. The highlight for me was the risotto al tartufo, a creamy, al dente rice dish, generously infused with aromatic truffles, a true testament to the chef’s culinary prowess. Alongside this, the grilled sea bass, marinated in herbs and lemon zest, offered a refreshing contrast with its light, zesty flavor. The meal was complemented by a selection of fine wines, each carefully chosen to enhance the flavors of the dishes.

But what made the food truly memorable was the way it brought people together. Each dish was served family-style, encouraging conversations and laughter, as we shared not just the food, but also stories and experiences. It was a celebration of not just two individuals coming together but of families and friends, bonding over a shared love of good food and good company.

In that moment, the food transcended being mere sustenance; it became a medium for connection and joy. It was a testament to the power of food in bringing people together, creating memories that linger long after the last bite has been savored.

In summary, the event was a beautiful amalgamation of love, family, and culinary excellence. The food, both in its taste and in the way it brought us all together, left an indelible mark on my heart. It was an experience that highlighted the universal language of good food and the magic it weaves in bringing people closer.

People like to have exceptional food on special days because they want to make those occasions memorable, and they also enjoy that particular time with family and friends.

There is much difference. When we are eating at home, the hosts spend their whole time in the kitchen and has less time to spend with friends and relatives, but it did not happen when we are eating out on special occasion because people arrange some organizers who organize the event and there is no pressure on the host. So he/she can easily spend time with friends and family.Play Video
