PAR – 2 CUE CARD

Describe the happiest person you know.

You should say:

• who this person is,

• How you know this person,

• how he/she shows happiness

And explain why you consider him/her to be the happiest person you know.

SAMPLE ANSWER

Sometimes, I envy him and then think about how possibly he can be so happy in life. I even ask him about the secret to his peace, but he doesn’t answer. Instead, he just simply laughs away, which sometimes leads me to believe that there is perhaps no secret to happiness.

Well, the person, I envy, is none other than one of my best childhood friends who I have known for about 20 years since the days we were going to high school. Yes, he is indeed one of the happiest persons I have ever seen in my life who thinks that being happy and remaining happy is a very easy thing to do. And perhaps, that’s why he can always put a smile on his face, no matter what the circumstances are.

But, he doesn’t exactly express his happiness in the same way. For example, if he hears a piece of good news from anybody, he thanks him or her after giving the person a lot of good advice charmingly and convincingly. In fact, he talks to the good news bearer in such a way that the person becomes the more important person than the news he or she is delivering.

He also likes to express his happiness by giving gifts, be them small or big, to his families and friends alike even when there are no occasions for it. Besides, when he feels happy, he also becomes very animated sometime either by laughing out loudly or jumping in the air. His happiness is expressed also in the way he always talks to other people in a very positive and inspiring manner.

Anyway, I consider him to be the happiest person, primarily because I have never seen him with a sad face. Besides, if a person tries to find happiness in every little thing in the world, there is no other option but to consider him as a very happy and positive person. Finally, I consider him to be a very, very happy person because I have never seen him getting mad at another person even when there is a reason for him to be angry.

PART – 3 FOLLOW UPS

What is the relationship between money and happiness?

Money can bring happiness to extent by ensuring that we can live comfortably and take care of all our needs. However, when money becomes more important than one’s relations or when it becomes an obsession, then it brings more stress than happiness.

What do you do make yourself happy?

There are many things that I do that make me happy. I listen to music, read, spend time with my family, talk or chat with my friends, meet my friends, watch movies, and many more such things.

Why are children generally happier than adults

Children are generally happier than adults because they are not burdened with the responsibilities that adults are, like paying bills, achieving targets at work, etc. Also, they are innocent and non judgemental and find happiness in the simple pleasures of life, like playing with friends, eating a candy, and many more such things.
