IELTS SPEAKING FULL INTERVIEW

PART – 1 INTRO PART

What is your full name?

My name is Gurnaam Singh.

How may I address you?

You may address me as Gurnaam.

May I see your ID?

Sure, here it is.

How often do you have a haircut?

I don’t go for a haircut very often, as I like long hair but yes, I think it is good to have a haircut every 3-4 months.

 How long have you had your current haircut?

It’s been 2 months since my last haircut. I think it still looks good.

Have you ever had an unhappy haircut experience?

No, I haven’t experienced anything like this but I will feel terrible if it happens.

Do you like to have your hair cut?

No, I don’t like it much, because I don’t like anyone doing anything with my hair. So, I go for haircuts only when it is necessary.

Did you save money when you were young?

Yes, when I was young I saved some funds from my pocket money and I later used them for buying books.

Have you ever given money to other children?

No, I have never given money to other children. I believe only parents should give money to their children and they should teach them to use it wisely

Do parents give pocket money to children in your country?

Yes, parents in my country do give pocket money to their children.

SAMPLE ANSWER

Movies effects as powerfully because the impact of images music dialogue and sound can elicit feelings and reflect on our lives. They can help us to understand and operate in society and culture. I usually watch movies on my laptop, sometimes I go to the movie theatre. I think watching movies at the theatre is more interesting than at home because we can watch vivid images on a large screen the lively sound effects. And I very often go to watch movies in theatre almost every weekend.

Here I would like to tell you about a movie which I would like to share with my friends. The name of this movie is gold. It was released in 2018. Story is around the Berlin Olympics 1936. That lead role in the movie is played by Akshay Kumar and Kunal Kapoor. This movie shows first gold India won after independence in the hockey. For a country which was struggling after the wrathful partition. This was a moment to celebrate. The roll akshy Kumar portrays Hindi movie is inspired from Balbir Singh.

The story begins when Indian team who wins the gold medal at the Berlin Olympics in 1936, the British National anthem was played in flag of British India was hoisted. But Indian team promises themselves that they will win a gold medal once again on behalf of the motherland, after India gets independence. The Movie shows that how India was able to win the gold medal in hockey after the independence. Even some of the Indian players were shifted to the Pakistan team due to do the partition. Facing difficulties in the team, even though Indian managed to win the gold in 1948 Olympics.

Finally when the captain received the gold, the national flag is hosted and the national anthem ‘Jana gana Mana’ is played. This movie shows patriotism of Indian players towards the nation. I watched this movie several times with my family and friends.

What kinds of films are popular in India?

Well, India is a diverse country. All genres of films are popular in India. People love action, drama, comedy, thriller, romance and many other movies. 

Do different age groups like the same kinds of films?

No, I don’t think so. People from different age groups usually have a different choice in terms of the kinds of films they like. For example, the older generation may prefer movies related to social and political issues and youngsters may prefer action and comedy movies. I think the preference for the type of movies people like, changes with age.

What kinds of films do young people particularly like?

Young people like to watch movies based on reality or real-life incidents. Superhero and science fiction movies are also quite popular among youngsters. Other popular genres enjoyed by the young generation are comedy, romance, horror, and action.

Do fewer people choose to watch movies in cinemas than people did in the past?

No, I don’t think so. These days more people choose to watch movies in cinemas as compared to the past. People are leading a very busy and hectic life and going to cinemas to watch movies is a popular way that people choose for entertainment and for spending time with family and friends. Also, the ever-increasing multiplexes are evidence that people prefer going to cinemas despite the online streaming options like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, etc.
