PART 1 – INTRO PART
What is your full name?
My name is Kuldeep Kumar.
Can I see your ID?
Certainly, here is my passport.
Where are you from?
I’m from Ahmadabad.
Do you work or study?
I am an industrial chemist.
Do you enjoy your work? Why?
Initially, I did enjoy but with time I am losing interest.
What was your favorite activity when you were a child?
As a child, we had plenty of outdoor activities because internet and computers were not that popular then. Most of the time, we spent time going to parks or visiting the zoo or playing around with friends. My favorite activity was playing cricket with my friends.
What do you think children prefer: outdoor or indoor activities? Why?
I think they like both, don’t they? But it all depends on a child. These days most of the kids are glued to the computer or the phone screen playing games on the internet or video games. There are kids who have parents keeping a check on the internet usage so they do get time for outdoor activities.
How have kids’ activities changed since you were a child?
Earlier kids had more time for their hobby classes or sports but these days with the kind of competition they are facing at the academic front which is so stressful that they barely get any time for any other extra activities.
What is politeness in your opinion?
Polite behavior helps to build relationships with people, and it is a way of respecting.
When you were a child who taught you to be polite?
Actually nobody really taught us, this came to me pretty naturally as I grew up seeing my parents being polite and giving respect to others.

In my life, there are several persons in my family members who made unmatched contributions to help me go ahead and among them my father’s contribution is unforgettable. He is the person whom I love most in this world and I consider him to be a perfect human being with his uncompromised honesty, bravery and responsibility
I know my father from the very beginning of my life as he is the person who brought me into this world. From my childhood, he has raised me with his love, affection and mentorship. He taught me about the world, people and values. He helped me on my education and has devoted his life to properly raise me
My father is an exemplary person who has led an honest life. As a high ranking government officer, he had many chances to pile up the riches but he had always known what the right things to do. The basic of humanity and the importance of education were something he delivered to me. He is now a retired person and leads his serene and peaceful like with contentment and happiness. He was a brave person who never feared the rough power of society
As a father, I would say he has done everything humanly possible to raise me and my 3 other siblings. He spent his entire earning for our happiness and necessity while he went through hardship. I learned the true meaning of life and started achieving some of the qualities he has. The person who I am now is mostly because of my father’s devotion and dedication. To me, he is an ideal person whom I often mimic and consider as my idle in my life

What type of people influence the young in your country?
I think for young people in my country, their parents and friends have a great amount of influence, simply because of proximity. Another source of influence is celebrities. Many young people here buy clothes and other products endorsed by their favorite singers or actors.
Why it is important to have role models in our life?
People can learn about the characteristics of their role models and emulate them to become successful. Having a role model can also inspire people to reach their goals. If people knew that their role models have overcome a great deal of adversity to be who they are today, it encourages them to work on their own dreams.
