PART – 1 INTRO PART

What is your full name?

My name is Reema Rana.

May I see your ID?

Sure, here it is.

What kind of housing/accommodation do you live in?

I live in a terraced house that has a living room, a kitchen, three bed rooms, two bathrooms and a lovely back garden. It’s not really a spacious house, but it’s just right for me and my family.

Who do you live with?

I live with my parents and my siblings. We always get on well with each other and have a lot of fun.

How long have you lived there?

I’ve lived there since I was a child, until I graduated from high school and moved to the city to enroll at university, where I lived in a student dormitory during the semester.

What’s the difference between where you are living now and where you have lived in the past?

Living in a dorm with other roommates is totally different from living in my own house. My current residential area is quite small and it’s very noisy because there are a lot of people there and I don’t have my own space. Conversely, when I was living at home, I had my own spacious room and it made me feel comfortable.

Do you plan to live there for a long time?

To be honest, I intend to buy an apartment in an urban area after I graduate from university. I can decorate and design my ideal home with whatever facilities I want.

Which room does your family spend most of the time in?

It’s definitely the kitchen. Not only lunch or dinner time but all our family reunions take place in the kitchen where all the family members get together to eat tasty meals, and chat to each other – it’s a really harmonious atmosphere.

Are the transport facilities to your home very good?

To be honest, most of the transport facilities to my place are not very modern. The bus service from my work place to home is irregular and usually overcrowded.

SAMPLE ANSWER

Well, like other people across the globe, I too relish exploring famous traveler destinations. Since most of the tourist attractions in my country have its cultural values along with history, I always try to buy some memento to keep my memories alive of my visit to that place. My wardrobe is flooded with a myriad of small local crafts or souvenirs, which I bought from various tourist places in my life. However, I would like to talk about one exceptional remembrance I purchased from Agra when I paid a visit to one of the seven wonders of the world Taj Mahal.

Actually, previous year in November, I planned for a small vacation to Agra, which is famous for its historic monuments. As it was a solo trip, I decided to go in the winter season due to pleasant weather. I took a short break from my study(you can say study/work) and headed for this holiday destination. Although I visited many exquisite forts and breathtaking attractions of Agra, I was awestruck when I saw Taj Mahal for the first time.

I couldn’t blink my eyes as I was mesmerized by its exceptional beauty. Since it was a weekend, there were hordes of tourists at that place. Nevertheless, after spending some quality time inside, when I came out from the premises, I saw a huge local market, where numerous eye-catching artistic handicrafts were available.

However, one thing which caught my attention was a miniature of Taj Mahal, which was made of pure Marble. It looked so elegant, that without giving a second thought, I immediately purchased it.

Although as it was a little expensive, but worth buying a souvenir representing a deep love of an emperor towards his queen. The Taj Mahal symbolizes the love of a Mughal emperor Shahjahan to his wife, Mumtaz Mahal. So what could be more special than buying a small model of something extraordinary?

This was indeed a holiday of a lifetime and an unforgettable experience because when I gave this memorial to my mom, she was over the moon to see an exceptionally beautiful thing and decided to make her next trip this travel destination.

PART – 3 FOLLOW UPS

What people buy from tourist attractions?

It is an individual’s choice, so it difficult to generalize it. But according to my perception, most of the people buy the book (which present place history), clothes and some decoration materials like artificial flowers, pots, and many more things.

Why do people like to take photos while travelling?

I think it is the habit of all people to click pictures while travelling. They do so to capture precious moments. Photos bring a smile on our face whenever we see them after a month/year.

Is it good that the locals sell things to the tourist?

Yes, it is good that the locals sell things to tourist. Through it, not only local people earn money but also boost up the nation’s economy. In addition to this, in this way, people spread their culture across the world.
