SAMPLE ANSWER

Well, everyone likes to do study in a tranquil environment. It varies according to the nature as well as a choice of a person whether they want to study indoor or outdoor to make their concentration in a better way. However, here I would like to take this opportunity to talk about a place where I like to study, which is my personal room.

I have maintained various things that are essential for studying purposes. Since it is an isolated room, I really feel comfortable studying there. Moreover, I have designed my study room using personal innovational thoughts. Thus, I feel not only chilled but also blissful to remain in this room. I never get bored even if I study for several hours a day. Besides this, at the entrance of the room, I have stuck a large card sheet that is inscribed with a timetable. The timetable chart that I have prepared is really fruitful for me to do my work on time then at another corner of the room beside the study table is a compact cupboard.

In addition, my room is filled with a plethora of books and reading materials. This cupboard is comprised of five compartments that are meant to keep textbooks, novels, storybooks, magazines, and research materials. Apart from this, on the shelf, my medals trophies, and other prizes are kept that give me the inspiration to burn midnight oil to achieve my goals. Nevertheless, ventilated with two big window panes the room is very airy. So, while studying, I can also puff the fresh air. Even, sometimes, I hear the birds twittering melodiously which have a relaxing vibe. The desk of the table is painted with beautiful flowers and green leaves. Both the chair and study table are made of superior wood.

Instead, there are three small couches arranged at the corner for the inmates. I have hungry childhood pictures on one wall and my picture is a case for keeping the stationary so that nothing is found lying. My computer with an operating internet connection which my father presented me as a gift on my 15th birthday. All in all, I have made it comfortable for my requirements. I like that room to spend most of my time there. Everyone who comes to my room idolizes it.

PART – 3 FOLLOW UPS

What are the factors affecting a person’s studies?

In my opinion, social networking websites as whenever they study on the internet, a notification which pops up on the screen force them to leave study and surf internet by doing chatting and doing video calling. Moreover, disturbances in the house or are where people study do not allow them to focus properly on it.

Do you think surroundings affect studies?

Of course, it affects a lot because by having distractions as I mentioned earlier person can’t focus on education or learning. For example, if construction work is going on in the locality, the learning process of students will be slower owing to the noise of machinery and other equipment. Apart from this, the noise of horns and others also plays a vital role in distraction.

IELTS Speaking

Nowadays, people don’t study for their personal interests. Why is it so?

Frankly speaking, Family and friends often become study whether they don’t intend to distract them. Another common reason for not studying is that they suffer from laziness and is owing to that they lose their interest in studies. Social media, entertainment become a barrier because they spend more than the required time on these activities.
