You may address me as Covidsheko.

Sure, here it is.

Do you think people rely too much on machines nowadays?

I think that many people rely loo greatly on machines. They seem to forget that there are people around them. It is easy to become completely absorbed in computers or phones or PDAs or MP3 players. People will more often turn to their machines for entertainment rather than spending time with others or getting exercise.

What are the advantages that we get from using modern home and office equipment?

There are some advantages to using modern home and office equipment. One of the main ones is that more things get done and often we can complete projects and assignments very quickly. We are also able to do things that we wouldn’t have been able to do before, like working at home. Also, because we are able to finish tailings quickly we have more time for other activities that we wish to do.

What do you think is the most useful thing that man has ever discovered?

I think that the most important discovery was electricity. Without electricity we would not have any of the modern equipment that we have today. We would be unable to have phones, computers, lights, TVs. refrigerators, or music players. Electricity runs almost everything in our houses and work areas today.

Does it rain much in your country? (Where? When?)

I would say yes. It rains a lot in the summer when tropical storms strike our country. There is torrential rain in the region in June, July and August, and the rainfall tends to be higher in the North than in the South.

SAMPLE ANSWER

There have been many letters that I have written which too an extent have shaped my life but I remember writing a letter to a friend I drifted apart after some misunderstandings. For a very long time, I wanted to know the reasons behind the things that happened in between us and why we tried to do the things that we did. It was almost frustrating and annoying and after three years I gathered all the courage and wrote to him.

I told him about how I felt about our relation and what irritated me and how I felt after it all was over. The entire journey of three years, I penned it down, hoping for some explanation on his behalf as to why he did what he did. But, for my shock or surprise, he simply told me that he has forgotten everything and even if something had happen in the past, it is all over and there is no specific reason behind it.

I was shattered in the beginning because I truly had to think a lot before I could just pen down everything and instead of giving me any explanation he simply sided away. The reason the letter was very important for me because I could finally move on with my life and there were so many things that I learnt. One of them being that there is no point being silent in a relation and then you have to make sure that the first person to respect you and love you is you and you are responsible for whatever happens to you.

I believe had I not written the letter, I wont have ever gathered the will power to move on with my life and make something good out of it.

PART – 3 FOLLOW Ups

Is handwriting still important?

I personally believe that handwriting is crucial for some reasons. It’s a basic tool in many subjects such as doing homeworks, tests or taking notes. So poor handwriting skills or illegible writing can create trouble for students when they study. Handwriting is able to help students  memorize everything  better than typing. Besides, handwriting is in extricably linked to reading skills .It  promotes a child’s visual memory, especially ones having difficulty reading. Mastering handwriting helps children recognize different letters quickly and help them to become good readers

2 What are the disadvantages of handwriting?

I see that the first and foremost disadvantage of handwriting is hard work and time-consuming. When we write very long text, we’ll feel pain of fingers and it takes longer time to finish than typing. Besides, We can save all kinds of documents on computers as they have huge storage and extremely safe with password . The last thing is that handwriting is linked to learning to spell but spell check is a function that all computers have so handwriting doesn’t help with this

3 Is it possible to improve school student’s handwriting once they have established a style?

Well, I do agree with that. In the short term it will almost certainly lead to a reduction in the student’s writing speed. They should take continuously  practice of the new writing style and will become faster and automatic..

4 Is being left-handed the cause of the problem?

In my opinion, that’s not a problem. The majority of left-handers write as well as their right-handed peers. Many reseaches also show that lefties have the upper hand in creativity, imagination as their thinking is different from righties. So that’s the reason why there are more and more left- handed people.
