SAMPLE ANSWER

Pollution is one of the most serious problems of today. It is our most important duty to do something to save the environment otherwise it will be too late. We should not expect what the government is doing in this field rather we should ask this question “What am I doing to save the environment?” I am a member of the Save the Environment Club of my city.

We are more than 100 members of this club. I am the secretary of this club. I organise camps in the villages and in the slum areas and make the people aware of the menace of pollution. I request the farmers not to set on fire paddy husk and the stubs of crops in the fields. 1 have a car and a scooter. I get them regularly serviced and get the Pollution free certificate from the authorities. I never use polythene bags, rather I use jute bags whenever I go to the market.

I don’t use pressure horn in any of my vehicles. I persuade my class fellows also to desist from this habit of using Pressure horns. I have kept a dust-bin in which I put the garbage. It is my habit that I plant at least 100 plants in any locality where plants are not there. This is my humble contribution in saving the environment.

These days the governments and other organisations, especially the NGOs are very active. They are making the people aware of the environment problems through the electronic media and also through the print media.

The governments should be very strict in passing and implementing the laws. Polluting the environment should be treated as a crime. All the nations, especially the developed nations should be sincere in this regard.
