What do you usually do with your relatives?

All fun, I would say. Whenever my cousins visit my place, we go back to all old days of school, full of mischievous events that we had enjoyed. They allow me to relieve sweet childhood memories. One of my cousins and I studied together, and in fact, we were together until the higher secondary level.

We’ve many common interests, such as playing cricket, watching action and thriller Hollywood movies, partying, gossiping and listening to the ‘Rock and Roll’ music and many among others. Things have changed a little bit now. These days we also discuss the challenges that we face in business and at times seek each other’s suggestion to any particular business challenge.

SAMPLE ANSWER

It was the year of 2011 and I along with my friends went to see the ICC world cup, where the finalist were India and Srilanka. There were speculations that India might win and if that happen, it would be after almost 2 decades that India will win. There was lot of craze in all of us and we decided to attend the event and be part of. What was more exciting was that Sachin Tendulkar, who is India’s best cricketer, was playing for the last time in world cup. With so much associated with that world cup, we decided to go and watch the game.

The finals between India and Srilanka was on April 2, 2011 and I remember, the heat of the environment was so high that it was not just a match, it was so much more than that. There was an excitement, a flair of enthusiasm among all the people to witness it. Being a part of crowd, I think most of the Indians were very positive about it.

I and my friends got hold of seats that were good enough and we were able to see the players and the game clearly. Even more, people around  us started interacting with us and with every passing ball we started giving judgments, playing silly games of deciding what will be the score.

What was the most amazing part of the game was the final over, the over in which the entire nation stood still to watch every ball, every second and every minute seemed so crucial and when finally Dhoni, our captain hit the ball it was amazing. There are several sporting events I have been part of, but nothing has ever given me memories like the World Cup Finals 2011.

PART – 3 FOLLOW UPS

What types of sports do Indians enjoy watching?

Traditionally, the majority of Indians used to watch live cricket matches. Other sports attracted a relatively tiny audience. However, Indians are now interested in live telecasts of many types of sports, including hockey, football, tennis, basketball, etc. And as a result of this enormous upheaval, some sports that were on the edge of extinction have been revitalised. Kabaddi is the main example of this; a Kabaddi league has brought the sport back into the spotlight.

.Do you believe that competition benefits students?

Students benefit from competition because it brings out their greatest qualities. In competition, they strategize and execute. Occasionally, they must employ novel plans and techniques to defeat the opponent. They gain the most from learning how to work with determination, dedication, and discipline. Therefore, children’s lives undergo a paradigm shift due to healthy competition.

.Do you consider sports to be a viable career option for students?

Indeed, with the growth of the sports business, this is a feasible career option. Nonetheless, I believe people must make a considerable effort to maintain physical and mental fitness. They need suitable mentoring if they are to achieve success in that sector.
