PART – 1 INTRO PART

What is your full name?

My name is Balmeet Kumar.

How may I address you?

You may address me as Balmeet.

May I see your ID?

Definitely, here it is.

How often do you like to hang out with friends?
I hang out with my friends from time to time. Normally if we have a lot of time at the weekends, we might go to the cinema to watch movies. We can take our kids to have a good time. If we don’t have that much time maybe we will just have dinner together in a restaurant.

Who do you usually like to hang out with?
Usually I like to hang out with one of my close friends. Actually we live in the same community so we can meet frequently. Also both of our kids are in the same class in kindergarten, so we like to take them to the park or playground together.

Where do you like to go when you hang out with your friends?
Well, that depends. Sometimes we go to a restaurant to enjoy tasty food if someone knows a decent place. But if we have plenty of time, we like to plan a hike or camp in a nearby forest park to enjoy the countryside. That would be a very memorable experience.

Do you like to go out with a big group or just few friends?
Well, if I had to choose between the two, I would go with hanging out with a big group people because I feel that I am an extrovert. I like to meet different people and get to know about them and their different kinds of life. I like to be sociable whereas, you know, with few people around, it would be hard to find something interesting to do, such as travelling, hiking, etc.

Do you like trees?
Yes, I am a tree lover because trees let me breath more easily, and without them I couldn’t survive much longer.

Are there any important trees in your country?
There are many important trees in my country. The use of bamboo, for example, can be used for everything from furniture making to building construction.

Is there a forest near your hometown?
Yes, I believe more trees should be planted both in and outside the cities because they can absorb the pollutant gases and provide more oxygen: besides, trees can save water and prevent soil erosion. Therefore, trees are critically important to keep our eco-system balanced. We are supposed to not only plant more trees, but also protect the existing ones.

– And explain why you had a dream like that

SAMPLE ANSWER

I’d like to talk about the nightmare I had the other night. On the way to a mountain in the dead of winter, I dropped behind the group I was traveling with and got lost. To make matters worse, it began to rain heavily. The wind blew hard, and the blasted forest groaned as if in pain. And so overcast was the sky that night come several hours earlier than usual. Cold and frightened, I was trembling all over. All I could do was shout for help, but no help was forthcoming.

The night became darker, the wind blew harder, and the rain poured down more heavily. I ate my last piece of food, a tiny piece of cake. Totally despaired, I was waiting not for miracle but for death. Suddenly, a thunderclap woke me up. A rainstorm was indeed raging outside, but I was grateful to find that I only had a nightmare.

I still couldn’t figure out why I would have that dream, and I certainly wouldn’t want it to come true.

PART – 3 FOLLOW UPS

Do you like hearing about others’ dream?

Yes I do. I find it quite interesting. As I have a lot of weird dreams myself, I enjoy listening to those of others. By hearing about their dreams, I feel that I can gain a greater insight (deep understanding) into their subconscious. On a lighter note, it’s simply just humorous!

Do you think dream will affect life?

Definitely not. I do not believe that dreams mean anything significant. I think that they are simply a manifestation (showing) of our subconscious worries, thoughts, fears, desires, etc. For example, if I’m worried about my job, I may have a nightmare about it. All in all, they aren’t a sign of what’s to come in the future.

Do you often have dreams at night?

Always, I am a heavy dreamer. I have had many vivid, impressionable (unforgettable) dreams in my lifetime that I will never forget. I would say I have these kinds of dreams a few times a week, sometimes even every night depending on how busy my mind is at that particular moment in time.
