My name is Gurleend Kaur.

How may I address you?

You may address me as Guleend.

Do you wear jeans?

Yes, I do. I usually wear jeans made with stretch fabric, because I am always chasing comfort and ease of movement. I can’t stand feeling trapped in my clothes. Always be comfortable so your light can shine.

How often do you wear jeans?

On a daily basis, I guess. I wear jeans with commitment and obsession. I really give them a workout. I tend to choose a pair that I like, then wear them every single day, until they feel like an extension of my body. I just can’t break the habit of choosing jeans as my main outfit of the day.

Yes, I do love wearing jeans a lot. I wear jeans because they are convenient. They go with everything, and are perfectly versatile. I travel often, and I like to pack light, so jeans are a great staple for mixing and matching.

Yes. I have seen Amitabh Bachan in the airport. But I didn’t make any effort to get an autograph from him. Sometimes I happen to sit next to film stars when I travel by air when they take the economy class. But I have not volunteered to talk to them.

Who is your favourite movie star?

Well, I’m a fan of Aishwarya Rai. She is a versatile actress, and I admired her from the very first movie. She is worth the Miss Universe title. My admiration increased after I watched her performance in the movie ‘Taal’.

Well, numerous wars between different nations have shaped today’s world and when we read history books we get to know about what different factors led to war situations.

What the war was about? and How you learnt about it?

Here I would like to talk about a war of SARAGARI about which I not only learnt through my history book but also by watching a movie based on this historical event.

IELTS Speaking Interview

Who fought it? and What happened in this war?

This battle was actually fought between a Sikh regiment and afghans. This regiment of 21 Sikhs was deployed to protect the fort of Saragadi when out of no where 10,000 Afghans attacked the fort. The regiment had no option other than either surrender or flee, but these 21 brave soldiers decided to fight against the Afghans and halt their progress as long as possible.

The Afghans were thinking they would capture the fort in like 10 minutes but the courage and the magnificent fighting skills of just 21 Soldiers made the battle last for hours and during this more than 1000 afghans were killed. This long halt at Saragadi completely ruined the plan of further movement of the enemy.

Though all the 21 soldiers died in this battle yet for their thumping display all were honored with the highest gallantry award by Queen of England. When you watch the movie you get to know, how each of these soldier contributed in this battle which gives you goose bumps.

Conclusion:

In fact, there is a war memorial in my country where enthusiasts can learn more about this war and I personally recommend everyone to must read about this war in more detail.

Q. What is the best thing about your university/ school?

Answer: I love my university life. The classes, friends, teachers, university life, my freedom to do so many things and my participation in some charity work organised by the university are equally important to me. If I have to select one great thing about my university, I would choose my exposure to a diverse culture and academic life that has motivated and inspired me to do even better than I initially thought. I was exposed to life and an era that was unimaginable to me and that is the best part of my university life so far.

Answer: Well, I think my previous answer already covers this answer. My university life offers me a vision for my future and potential job sectors and I think this is the best part.
