SAMPLE ANSWER

The experience I am going to tell you about is that I taught my mother how to use Facebook to send messages and keep in touch with people. My mother is an old lady marching towards her 50s. She did not attend college but went to work directly after high school, which was quite common in her era. Ever since marriage, the focus of her life has been the family. She made sure my father and I eat well and dress well, and we have a nice clean house too.

Thus she did not have much time to pay attention to the development of technology and often felt puzzled facing all those high-tech devices like smart-phones, laptops and smart televisions.

Last year, my mother asked me whether I knew how to post statuses and pictures through Facebook since her friends were getting used to up-to-date technology and texting due to apps like Facebook or Viber became pretty popular. I said of course and patiently showed her how to open the app, how to log in and use all the functions of the app.

She was so careful that she even wrote down all the procedures. After several practice attempts, she could do this by herself. I saw a big smile appear on her face. I didn’t find it difficult to teach a woman like my mother to exploit modern gadgets, and using them allowed her to catch up with her friends and also what‘s happening in the world.

PART – 3 FOLLOW UPS

Which age group is the best age for learning?

According to my perception, a person can learn new thing at any age because it makes the mind more active and up to date. For example, nowadays we use many new technological equipment types daily compared to past, so elders must learn new techniques because new methods make their work easy and save time. Another fact is that child age is the best age to learn new things.

Should teachers be funny when they teach?

Humour is a universal communication phenomenon, and people tend to seek others who make them laugh. However, the classroom is not typically associated/ has no relation with laughter or humorous interaction. Education has always traditionally been thought of as a serious undertaking, but if a teacher has a good sense of humour and friendly nature, it can improve the relationship of a teacher with their student. Students can share their problems without any hesitation. But more friendly nature may disturb the class discipline.
