What snacks do you like to eat?

I like to have some yoghurt, nuts or fruits between meals like blueberries, mangos, and oranges. I don’t eat sweets or cakes much because they’re high in calories. Too much intake of these snacks will lead to obesity easily. I don’t want to put on too much weight.

Did you often eat snacks when you were young?

Yes, when I was a kid, I had a sweet tooth. I used to eat a lot of candies, chocolate bars, cakes… . As a result, I had serious tooth decay, and I remember what a nightmare it was every time when I went to the dentist.

Do you think it is healthy for you to eat snacks?

Well to my knowledge, most snacks are over processed, so it’s definitely not so healthy for me to eat a lot of them or eat those kinds of food frequently. I tend to have some in my spare time, just eat in moderation. After all, snacks taste good and they can also put me in a good mood.

When do you usually eat snacks now?

In most cases, I eat some nuts before I go to the gym because it’s said that almonds are good for muscle recovering and building. And I also eat some dark chocolate when I don’t have time to eat meals. It can put my mind at ease and I really love its bitterness.

What is your favourite snack?

A snack I really enjoy (although not the healthiest) has to be salt & vinegar chips! Honestly, anything generally sour is wonderful, as a kid I used to eat lemons right off the tree. Apart from this, I love hummus and crackers, fresh veggies, and anything baked or homemade!

What kind of snack is popular in your country?

Well, there are loads of snacks and street eats in Vietnam. Trying Vietnamese snacks will bring you a great eating experience. There are some popular names of Vietnamese snacks that won’t let you down is Goi Cuon, Banh Gio, Nem Lui, Banh Beo, Bot Bot Loc, Banh Trang Tron, Bo Kho, etc.

When do you usually have snacks?

It depends what I’ve been eating and what my schedule is like, but my blood sugar issues can require me to eat something every two to three hours. I’m more likely to need a snack between breakfast and lunch than between lunch and dinner.

I am not like many other girls who like to wear jewellery item almost always. In fact, I have only 2/3 jewellery items that I own and I do not always use all of them. The fashion bracelet made of gold and diamond is the only jewellery item that I often use.

I use it almost every day except the days when I stay home or go out for swimming. I like the fine quality this bracelet has. The gold-and-diamond-made bracelet that I have is a kind of fashion item to me because of its thick slick and beautiful design. I find it fashionable, handy and easy to wear. For all these reasons I use it often.

This was a gift from my mother on my 22nd birthday and I was so glad to have it from my mother. At that time I noticed that it was the most expensive gift I have ever got and the design and my mum’s affection were both important to me. This was the first time I got somehow inspired and motivated to wear a jewellery item. I still use it pretty often because I admire it as a gift from my beloved mother and the item is still fashionable and beautiful to me.

Can you describe the significance of jewelry in your culture or family?

In my culture, jewelry often symbolizes milestones and celebrations. For example, during weddings, intricate gold jewelry is worn to signify prosperity and blessings.

How do you think wearing jewelry influences your personal style?

Jewelry allows me to express my individuality. Depending on the pieces I choose, I can create different looks, from elegant and sophisticated to casual and trendy.

IELTS Speaking Test

Do you believe there are certain rules or etiquette when wearing jewelry?

Yes, to some extent. For example, it’s often considered more appropriate to wear understated jewelry in professional settings. Also, matching jewelry to the formality of an event is considered polite.

Has your taste in jewelry evolved over time? How so?

Definitely. When I was younger, I preferred bold statement pieces, but as I’ve grown older, I appreciate more delicate and timeless designs that can be worn daily.

How do you balance between wearing jewelry that reflects trends versus pieces that are timeless?

I try to strike a balance. I might incorporate trendy pieces sparingly while focusing on investing in classic jewelry that I know will always be in style.
