IELTS SPEAKING FULL INTERVIEW

PART – 1 INTRO PART

What is your full name?

My name is Fatikosha Ghosta.

How may I address you?

You may address me as Fatikosha.

May I see your ID?

Sure, here it is.

What types of photos do you like taking? [Why/Why not?]

I must mention that I am not a professional photographer and do not understand the technical aspects of photography. Thus anything that seems beautiful or interesting is my subject of snap shooting. However, nature, children and landscapes are some common subjects that I like to frame in my camera.

What do you do with the photos you take? [Why/Why not?]

I first transfer the photos to my laptop and then sort out the ones I like. I then store those photos online. Sometimes I print out a few photos which I believe are worth printing. Sometimes I share a few of them online with my friends and family.

When you visit other places, do you take photos or buy postcards? [Why/Why not?]

I mostly like to take photos in that case. Buying postcards is not a common practice in my country these days. However, if I visit a different country, I do both. I believe taking photos and buying postcards have different appeals. Since I know very little about foreign cities, I try to buy some postcards to make it more interesting.

Do you like people taking photos of you? [Why/Why not?]

I would not allow a stranger to take a photo of mine. I think this is a breach of privacy. However, if the person is someone close to me, I might allow as I know his or her intention of taking my photograph.

SAMPLE ANSWER

I would like to describe one of my teachers who taught me at high school, who had a great influence on me and was the person who helped me succeed in my university entrance examination. Her name is Borika and she taught me English for 3 years of high school and was also my form teacher. She was in her late 40’s then but looked young for her age.

I was really influenced by the way she taught us in class. Her thoroughness in teaching inspired me to study English, even though I had not been interested in it before. We never felt bored in her classes, she always told us interesting stories about British and American culture and people, and also organized some games so that we could learn new vocabulary and grammar effortlessly.

I remember that during the three months before the university entrance exam, which was the most important exam of my life, she had delivered some free classes for the students who weren’t quite up to standard, including myself. She patiently guided us through difficult questions and provided many useful tips to help deal with the test. Thanks to her effective teaching method and great dedication, I was able to pass the university entrance exam with almost a perfect score in English.

Although I have graduated from high school and now study in Hanoi, I often visit her on the holidays and tell her about my daily life in the big city and she’s always available to give me some advice about any problems I have. I am forever grateful to have Mrs. Borika in my life.

Why are some people willing to help others?

Some people are willing to help others because of their nurturing and compassionate nature. They are always ready to be of assistance to others because they want to extend help to the needy in whatever way possible.

Who should teach children to help others? Parents or teachers?

I think both should play a role in teaching young ones to assist others because both are responsible for imparting and inculcating such good humanitarian values in the children.
