Do you have a lot of friends?
Not lots. But I do have some close ones. I had many friends when I was in school. As you get old, it is difficult to find people with common interests. So, I’m quite happy that I managed to get close, at least to a few.
What do you do with your friends?
We often get to meet. One of my friends is an artist and she conducts an art exhibition every now and then. Another friend of mine runs a cookery class. She also hosts cookery shows on TV. Sometimes, she invites us to participate in her shows.

Is it important to have a lot of friends?
It is important to have friends but the number does not matter. Friendships make our lives delightful. They add more meaning to our life.
Do you like to travel?
Yes, absolutely. Travelling is my top hobby because whenever I travel, I can meet and get to know many new people from different cultures and nations, which helps me to broaden my horizons.
Do you often travel by air?
No, not much. Travelling by air too often is out of my reach for a student like me. However, I do travel by air once or twice a year to an ASEAN member because the airfares to these destinations are quite affordable.
How long was the longest trip you took?
I went on a 9-day trip to Thailand and this was my longest trip ever. I spent 3 days in Bangkok, 2 days in Pattaya and 3 days in Phuket. The remaining one day was allocated for moving.

SAMPLE ANSWER
I would like to talk about the telephone which, in my opinion, is one of the most revolutionary creations that has changed our lives.
As far as I know, Alexander Graham Bell was the father of this terrific device and he invented it in the last century through a lot of trial and error.
It is no exaggeration to say that human life has completely changed since the first telephone was devised. A few centuries ago people could only communicate long distances through writing letters, which could take ages to be delivered. And in the case of emergencies or confidential information, writing letters really wasn’t an effective way of communicating.
So, one of the main reasons that I believe that the telephone has changed people’s lives is simply by making communication between people so much faster, easier and more convenient than ever before. These days when you need to get in contact with somebody, all you need to do is pick up your phone, dial a few numbers and wait for them to answer. And if they don’t answer, then you can usually just leave a voice message for them to let them know what it is you wanted to tell them.
Furthermore, I believe that communication is at the core of social development, and I think that the advent of the telephone has made a great contribution to this area of life. So, whether the information is urgent, confidential, or even downright unnecessary, I think that the telephone has made a massive difference to people’s lives and our societies as well.

How can technology make our life easier?
Thank you for allowing me to answer this. Technology is a blessing for all and has made life easier. With the use of the technology, you can do the unimaginable things now. Earlier, people had to control their television set like increasing or decreasing the volume or changing channels manually. But in the current days, you do not need to get up to the television set raise the volume or change the channel and get back to the sofa again. It is the time to change channels or increase/ decrease the volumes with the help of a remote controller. Moreover, people now can travel easily than the past and travelling hours has been reduced to a great extent.

What role should the government play in encouraging innovation?
Government has a very important role in making sure that an innovation takes place. Firstly, they should make some laws favoring it. So, may be the strict laws and implementations could be eased out to make it easier for innovators to do things. Even more, sometimes funding is required in bringing a revolution, I think in those cases government can and should help.
Which invention do you think is the most useful at home?
I can say that there are plenty of useful technologies out there but I guess that electricity is the most valuable invention. This is because of the fact that we can do everything with electricity.
