SAMPLE ANSWER

Dear Sir,

This is in reference to the article that appeared in the last edition of your magazine “The Mirror”. Thanks in advance for publishing such a beautiful article but unfortunately the article contains some wrong information.

This article carries a vivid coverage of the culture and tradition of India. It describes the diversity of Indian culture, but the dances mentioned in the article do not match the states to which they belong. The author has mentioned that the ‘Kalbeliya’ or the ‘Snake Charmer’s Dance’ is of South India, whereas it is the traditional dance of Rajasthan.

Another dance form is ‘Kathakali’, which the writer has mentioned to be of North India, is actually of Kerala in the extreme south of India. I think he mistook it for ‘Kathak’ which is definitely of North India.

There is an event held every year in Delhi which is an inter-state competition of their dance forms. Even the folk dances are performed here. Last year the ‘Bhangra’ of Punjab won the first prize.

If you need any further clarification, please feel free to call me at 9*******6. Hoping to hear from you soon!

Yours faithfully,
