People are wearing same clothes following same culture. Do you agree with this trend?
Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
SAMPLE ANSWER:-
In bygone days, different people had diverse cultures and styles. Now we are living in 21st century which reflects modern era. Many changes have taken place. Due to globalization people are following similarity in clothes and culture. I would shed light on my view point in the following paragraphs.
There are numerous reasons to support that it is positive trend. Firstly, this reduces discrimination. When there are many religions, languages and cultures, the religious people who are in majority, dominate the people of minority. For example, there are no racist attacks in the USA, UK because everybody is similar. However, in India there is a lot of casteism. Due to this, even many murders, attack etc. take place.
On the other hand, single culture society is creating problems. Primarily people move away from their culture and forget their values. Nowadays people are following western culture. They work according to their styles. For example, they stay away from their family, eat fast food etc. however, in Indian society, joint families are given a lot of importance. In the presence of old people, youngsters learn moral values, but because of nuclear families, it is not possible.
Apart from that, this is a big loss for handicrafts. People like to buy imported products only order to match foreigners. Therefore, the local craftsmen who have old art losing their importance. Next, people are becoming greedy and selfish. They want to show off in the society. So, to match others, they copy then and do even illegal activities to become rich.
In a nutshell, single culture world is not an appropriate trend because no one would have its individual identity and everybody would follow only foreign culture. Hence, I believe that people should stick to their own culture.
