In globalisation how can companies keep their employees motivated and satisfied? State your views with examples.
SAMPLE ANSWER
It is necessary on the part of employers to keep their employees satisfied in order to succeed in business at a time when competition and aggressive materialism (=relentless pursuit of physical possessions and pleasures) are but reality. In this age of globalization, this is a task which requires an enormous amount of responsibility. This essay attempts to state how employers can retain the motivation and satisfaction of their personnel.
Thanks to globalisation, it has become much easier for competent employees to get jobs. In general, the world has become, to a great extent, employee friendly. For example, everywhere there is emergence of new companies and job opportunities are on the increase for employees with the right attitude and who are willing to accept challenges and welcome changes.
From the point of view of employers, to succeed in business they need the support and co- operation of their employees. Investing in people is the key to win their loyalty. For instance, a pat on the back is everybody’s psychological need. An employer, who is willing to appreciate his/her employees, is a good motivator.
Another important thing on the part of employers is to create team spirit. As an example, if employees feel that they belong to the company and the company belongs to them, they will remain loyal and diligent for a longer period. By providing employees with cash incentives, training facilities for further education and opportunities for leisure and recreation, loyalty of employees can be won.
Overall, globalisation has generated greater job opportunities, but it is important to maintain a good employer employee relationship. The observations made above prove that this feat can be achieved successfully.
