Groups or organizations are an important part of some people’s lives. Why are groups or organizations important to people?
SAMPLE ANSWER
Groups or organizations, are they local or global, are important in people’s lives for social, economic, emotional and intellectual reasons. The statement that “man does not live by bread alone” is the gospel truth. This essay, explains how groups or organizations make people happier and societies better by their collective effort.
For a start, the economic significance of groups or organizations is that in order to give or get money, an association can work wonders in comparison with individuals. A typical example for this is, in relief operation, non-government organizations (NGOs) and other groups have always succeeded to contribute more than individuals could do. Red Cross and Amnesty International are good example of this.
Moreover, emotional reasons sometimes give birth to groups and organizations. For example, people find happiness and comfort when they are among the likeminded ones. Some people have interest in prompting child welfare while others like to enjoy social gathering. Thus, each locality, as we know well from our experience, has several arts and sports club.
Furthermore, intellectual reasons for groups or organizations have several examples from history. To cite an example, various liberation movements such as the American War of Independence and the Indian freedom movement found strength in women and men, who were ready to sacrifice even their lives. The liberation of women, the fight against child labor, the eight- hour working day and many other things we enjoy today, are the outcome of the vision and efforts of groups and organizations.
Overall, it seems only logical to surmise in the wake of the above deliberations that associations play a pivotal role in the lives of one and all in some respect or other.
