This exam is divided in four parts – Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking. There are two different IELTS modules: Academic and General Training. The Speaking and Listening tests are the same in both modules, but the Reading and Writing tests are different.

Now the thing is that many students take several attempts to clear the exam as they don’t succeed in first attempt because of the lack of guidance and proper tips. So today we will discuss some tips about How to crack IELTS in first attempt?

1. Work on Vocabulary

One of the most beneficial points is that students can learn or start practice with vocabulary instantly. You can pick up a newspaper or magazine to practice your vocabulary, read or pay close attention to such words you don’t know. This will help you to improve your vocabulary, also make a note of these vocabularies, and use them in your sentences while practicing.

2.  Practice the test

You should set down at least 3 hours every day for the practicing of all modules. There are lots of places where you can find the full practice test. Make sure that you do at least one test everyday from beginning to end. Moreover, in the exam you don’t have mobile phone, and you will sit in quiet room also you must do reading, writing, listening by yourself. So get used to this situation. For the practice, lock yourself in the room every morning and start the practice without any disturbance. If you do the full practice test a few time before the exam you will also understand what it also like to sit for three hours and how to focus on the test.

3.  Learn strategies for the most difficult type of tasks.

Try to do practice of most difficult tasks of every module such as multiple choice questions, true false, maps, diagrams and so on. So start practicing of those questions before exam. Also in each practice test you cannot understand every question so there is some question which you don’t answer correctly.

4.  Start reading in English

Try to read newspapers, article, and magazines on daily basis for practicing English. Reading all this material helps you in enhancing your vocabulary, gaining new ideas and increasing your reading speed which not only helps in Reading and Writing but also in Speaking.

5.  Stay positive

Last but not least, in these uncertain times when nothing seems to be normal, we hope you are able to stay safe, stay strong and stay positive for your exam because if you are confident then you can avoid the silly mistakes in your exam.
