HOW TO DO ‘PROCESS’ Chart IN WRITING TASK 1

INTRODUCTION

In IELTS writing part 1, you would be asked about writing Task 1 having process to describe in it. The ‘Process’ is not an usual or a common task that IELTS candidates might have in writing examination and they do come up occasionally. #Divide your task by writing 2 paragraphs separately.

As, paraphrasing is the most important skill that need to master. The easiest way to paraphrase is to use synonyms and changing the order of words of the question. Synonyms are different words that have the same meaning, for example, woman and female.

OVERVIEW

Next, the second step us write an overview. This is the basic element of the format of ‘Process’ writing. If you don’t write an overview so, it become difficult to get high scores in your task 1. However, if you learn how to write a good one, you are far more likely to get the score you deserve.

Divide your task by writing 2 paragraphs separately:

When you complete your introduction and an overview you should move further to write down the ‘Process’ details. In this you need to include each stage in more details.

You can use:

•Explain what each stage does

•What has been shown that is being produced

•If any materials are added

•And/or discuss the relationship with the previous or subsequent stages.

How to sequence?

Use different word in order to show your signpost in the particular stage. You can use the terms that are given below:

Check your task at the end:

Remember to keep spare time at the end to review your task. You should try to leave 3-4 minutes at the end. Try to complete your task in 15-16 minutes, so that you can check and refine your task.

Things you should be careful with at last:

•Check your spellings and punctuation marks.

•Have included all the things shown in the process?

•Check wether you have written all the key features in an overview.

•Check your sentence structure and verbs.

These are the important steps you need to follow while writing the ‘Process’ in IELTS writing.
