Course Outline – approved document that outlines what students are expected to learn in a course and what they can expect in the way of instructional methods, activities, assignments and grading methods.

Group Discussion – a type of discussion that involves people sharing ideas or activities.

Sentence – Group discussion is also immensely helpful in convincing patients that they can choose a course that feels right to them.

Reference – a writer or a book, article, etc. that is mentioned in a piece of writing, showing you where particular information was found.

Textbook – a book that contains detailed information about a subject for people who are studying that subject.

Sentence – This is the standard textbook on the subject.

Student Advisor – a person who advises students or others on personal problems or academic and occupational choice.

Sentence – You may go to the Student Placement Office or ask Dr. Thomason, the Foreign Student Advisor in the Administrative Building.

Teamwork – the activity of working together in a group with other people, especially when this is successful.

Sentence – Good teamwork is a powerful tool for effective management.

Topic – a subject that is discussed, written about, or studied.

Sentence – The topic arose naturally in the conversation.

Sentence – The dictionary is reprinting with minor corrections.

Sentence – Video transmitted from the ground will be displayed on laptop computers aboard the shuttle.
