It is very essential to look out for a title. Find keywords

The key words are always requisite in the listening module. It may only be one word, but it aids you in determining the relatable or correct answer while listening. The examiner might use a single word as a synonym of the operative word, so that’s why it is essential for many of the students to underline that specific word to decode the correct answer; as it will give you the reference or help in finding the exact right answer.

It is an instrumental strategy to follow, but it is advantageous with the synonym of that specific word, as if the student only goes for the keyword, then they might get it wrong, but on the other hand, if they search for the synonym altogether with the keyword, then they might get the correct answer.

Predict the answers

In some of the cases in which listening is required, it is very easy to predict the answer after reviewing the question itself without listening to the questions, as the content in the question is understandable and the lists of answers might contain at least one or two words related to the questions and plenty of wrong answers.
