TOURISM VOCABULARY

Companion: a person or animal with which one travels or spends a lot of time

Sightseeing: the activity of visiting places of interest in a particular location as a tourist

Showplace: a place that attracts many tourists because of natural beauty, historical interest, etc.

Travel agency: an agency that makes arrangements for people who want to travel

Backpacker: a person without much money who travels around, hiking or using public transport, carrying a backpack
