International English language Testing System is a great opportunity for not only the students who live in abroad but also for the individuals who stay in our nation to fulfill their dreams. If you are from a country that does not recognize English as its national language, moreover, if you plan to study in the foreign countries such as United Kingdom, Canada or Australia, you will likely be required to take an International English Language Testing System (IELTS) to access your English language capability.

There are four parts to the test: Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking. The key decider of your country and whether your university application gets approved or not will rely on 2 hours and 45 minutes test. You should appear well in the exam with full concentration along with determination and you’ve got one part of your application done and sorted. If you get failed, then you have to stand to wait for another year if you are not able to re-take the IELTS exam on time for your deadlines of the application.

With the high range of stakes, there is no doubt then that a large proportion of students and parents resort to unscrupulous means to pass and get the scores they want to achieve. There are even highly-organized rings offering leaks to exam questions and fake candidates to take the test on your behalf.

It is very essential to stress that cheating, in any form or manner, is strictly prohibited by IELTS. Those who caught will risk jeopardizing their university and study visa application.

The candidates who attempt the exam usually receive a notice stating that they must not “engage in any form of malpractice which may damage the integrity and security of the IELTS test”. This malpractice is not limited to attempting to cheat in any way and it includes; impersonating another candidate or having another person; impersonate you; copying the work of another candidate; disrupting the test in any way; reproducing any part of the test in any medium; attempting to alter the data on the Test Report Form.

To safeguard against the falsification of results, there are numerous ways. The photographs of the test taker will be clicked on the day of your IELTS test and this will appear on your IELTS Test Report Form. Fraud prevention measures are in place to enable IELTS to identify counterfeit Test Report Forms (TRFs).

If an individual is caught cheating or doing any inappropriate means of practice then the consequences are dire. Candidates who caught doing cheating will not be allowed to complete the test and will not receive an IELTS test result. If they are found to have cheated on test after their result has been issued, their results will be cancelled.

Official websites of IELTS authority states: If false documentation is submitted in the Immigration agencies and institutions, that accept IELTS scores, will cancel your application and exclude you from applying again. Test-takers engaging in malpractice may also be liable to take a strict and legal action.
