For study − IELTS is important for the students who want to study overseas specially in the English countries. Universities and schools around the world don’t admit the student from other countries that have not cracked the IELTS exam. So it is a primary requirement for the students wanting to go abroad for higher studies.

Applicants who want to apply for permanent or temporary residency in countries like Australia, New Zealand, Canada, the UK and The USA this test is compulsory for them.

Fair test – IELTS is designed to assess your language ability in a fair way and to get a accurate result it is divided in four modules writing, listening, reading and speaking. It is available in two variations Academic and General Training and the candidate can chose the test according to his requirement. IELTS test dates

There are two types of tests paper based and computer based. For computer-delivered IELTS, there are multiple dates and time from which you can select from and receive your results within 5-7 days. IELTS test format

As I have told earlier that the IELTS exam is divided in four modules to judge your language skills: Listening, Reading, Speaking and Writing. Listening, Reading and Writing tests (considered as the main exam) on the same day one after another, without any breaks in between. Speaking test is conducted on other day it can be before or after the main exam, for this you can reserve a date and time slot according to your preference from the website of the organization either BC or IDP. If you miss to opt a slot over in the specified time, automatically a slot will be booked for you. The entire test time is under three hours.

IELTS Listening test (30 minutes)

You’ll listen to a recording in four parts and answer the 40 questions asked based on the audio. The audio clips are of native English speakers, and also the length of this exam is 30 minutes.

IELTS Reading test (60 minutes)

In the IELTS Reading test you will have to answer 40 questions. For academic there are 3 passages and in General the number of passages can be 3-5.

IELTS Writing test (60 minutes)

The IELTS writing test you need to complete 2 tasks Report and essay for academic test and letter and essay for general test.

IELTS Speaking Test (11-14 moments)

The IELTS Speaking test assesses your spoken English skills.  The test is recorded and ran in three components.
