After attending a course for several days at your local community college, you now realise that it is not suitable for your needs.
Write a letter to the college administrator.
In your letter
• explain why you enrolled in the course
• describe why the course isn’t suitable
• tell him/her what you would like him/her to do
SAMPLE ANSWER
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing this letter in regard to the Business Management course that I joined at your college because I need to gain more knowledge in this field to apply for a well-paid job. I am hoping to apply for a marketing manager position for which I am required to have a qualification in the management field.
I believe that this course is not suitable for me because of my educational background. I completed my education in science that is why I do not have any knowledge of business studies which is required for your Business Management course. After attending the classes for a week, I have realised that I need to attend a foundation course first to learn the basic concepts of business.
I am hoping that you would allow me to postpone this course until your next enrolment early next year. If I could stop studying this course this week, I would have an opportunity to study the basic knowledge that I need first. Then, next year, when I’m better prepared, I would benefit more from the curriculum.
